1. Different wavelengths of light have different impact on photosynthesis of plants Plant photosynthesis requires light of around 400-700nm wavelength. 400-500nm (blue) light and 610-720nm (red) light make the major contributions to photosynthesis.
2. Blue (470nm) and red (630nm) LED can just provide the necessary light needed by plants. Therefore, the ideal LED plant lights are a combination of LEDs of these two colors. In terms of visual effect, lights of red and blue combination produce pink light. However, the preferable wavelength of the red LED light is 660um.
3. Blue light can promote growth of leaves; red light helps to promote flowering and prolong flowering period.
4. The proportion of the number of red and blue LEDs in the LED lights should be 4:1 – 9: 1. Ours is 8:1
5. When supplying supplementary illumination with a LED grow light, generally we should keep it 0.5 meters above the blade. 12 hours’ continuous exposure to it each day can completely replace the sunlight from the sun.
6. The results are quite remarkable. The growth rate of plant will be 3 times faster than usual rate.

Nowadays, LED bulbs are widely used in all kinds of production areas, such as, grow lights, illumination, large screen display for ads, traffic lights, decorating, computer, electronic toys, switches, telephone, advertising and city enlightening.
LED grow lights of different size have different number of bulbs. For example, a 600-watt LED grow light has 600 LED grow light bulbs, with each bulb one-watt. Likewise, a 90 watt LED grow light has 90 bulbs. There is a chip inside each bulb. Chip, the core of the product and also the most expensive component, plays an important role and determines the luminance decrease and stability. The chip we use is of the most high-end brand in China. Of course, you can also customize middle-end chip, which is much cheaper. However, it is advisable that you use high-end ones. It is worth noticing that in the LED industry, price is not of paramount importance. If you buy LED grow light from other suppliers at a much lower price, but later find out that it’s of poor illuminating quality. It is likely that the chip in the bulb is a low-end one.
LED chip is usually round or square and LED of different colors is determined by the chip of different wavelengths. For example, the general wavelength of red chips (the bulb producing red light) is 620 ~ 630nm (nanometer), that of green chips is 527nm, of blue chips is 470nm and of yellow chips is 585nm. White LEDs use blue chips as well and you just add a proper amount of phosphor on the blue chips to produce white light.
The wavelength of the red chips we use is 660um, longer than the ordinary red light wavelength, which is 620 ~ 630um. Wavelength of 660um is more suitable for plant growth, but is more expensive. If you need chips of 620~630um wavelength, it will be comparatively cheaper. We believe that only the products of best quality can win the trust of the clients. Therefore, without special request from the clients, we will use chips of the most high-end brand and red chips of 660um wavelength.
